The Uhale app is the official mobile companion for compatible digital photo frames using the Uhale platform. It helps you pair a phone with a frame, select photos or videos, share content with connected frames, review sending activity, and invite trusted family members or friends to contribute.
This guide explains where to download the official Uhale app, how to complete initial setup, how pairing works, and what to check if the app or frame is not connecting. Features and menu names may vary by app version, phone operating system, frame model, hardware partner, and region.
Download the Official Uhale App
Use the official store listing for your phone:
- iPhone: Download Uhale from the Apple App Store
- Android: Download Uhale from Google Play
The official iOS listing uses Apple app ID 1533975840. The official Android listing uses package ID com.zeasn.technical.phone.frames. Store information, developer display names, ratings, screenshots, and version details can change over time, so begin with the links above instead of an unofficial download page.
Avoid websites that ask you to install a modified application package, disable phone protections, or enter your Uhale credentials outside the official app.
What the Uhale App Does
The app is designed around the photo-sharing relationship between a phone and a compatible digital frame. Depending on the current app version and frame model, available functions may include:
- Pairing a phone account with a frame by invitation code or QR code
- Selecting photos or supported video clips from the phone
- Sending content to one or more connected frames
- Allowing multiple approved people to contribute to a frame
- Reviewing the status and history of submitted transfers
- Adding a caption or selecting an important area of a photo
- Sending supported greetings, cards, or messages
- Managing connected frames and approved senders
The mobile app and physical frame perform different tasks. The app is primarily the sending and account side of the experience, while the frame displays received media and provides model-specific display, slideshow, storage, network, and device controls.
Before You Begin
Prepare the following before initial setup:
- A compatible digital photo frame connected to power
- A stable Wi-Fi network supported by the frame
- An iPhone or Android phone with internet access
- Access to the official Apple App Store or Google Play
- An email address you control for account access, when requested
Place the frame near the router during setup. Keep the frame powered on and connected while pairing or receiving its first photos.
How to Set Up the Uhale App
- Download Uhale from the official store link above.
- Open the app and follow the on-screen instructions to create or access your account.
- Review the permissions requested by the app. Allow access only to the photos or phone features you intend to use.
- Turn on the compatible frame and complete its language, region, and Wi-Fi setup.
- Open the pairing, invitation, or connection screen on the frame.
- In the Uhale app, choose the option to add or connect a frame.
- Scan the QR code or enter the invitation information currently displayed by the frame.
- Confirm that the correct frame appears in the app before sending content.
Exact wording and screen layout can differ between app releases and frame models. Visit Connection & Setup for additional network and setup guidance.
How Pairing and Invitations Work
Pairing authorizes an app account to interact with a compatible frame. Treat a pairing code or QR code as an invitation to that device.
- Use the pairing information currently displayed on the intended frame.
- Share invitations only with people you want to connect.
- Do not post pairing codes publicly or include them in public support messages.
- Before confirming, check that the frame name or device shown in the app is correct.
- Review connected users on the frame when someone no longer needs access.
One account may support connections to more than one compatible frame, and a frame may support more than one approved sender. Actual account and device limits can vary with the current software and frame configuration.
How to Send Photos to a Frame
- Open the Uhale app.
- Select the connected frame you want to receive the content.
- Choose photos from the albums or photo access currently available to the app.
- Review the selected items and any available crop, focus-area, orientation, or caption options.
- Submit the transfer and keep the app open until it confirms the request.
- Allow the frame time to download and process the files.
Batch limits, supported formats, editing tools, and transfer behavior can change by app version and frame model. Follow the limits displayed in the current app rather than relying on a fixed number from an older guide.
Sending Videos
Video sharing availability, clip length, file size, audio support, and supported formats may differ by platform, application version, and frame model. When video sharing is available:
- Use the duration and file limits displayed in the current app.
- Keep the phone connected to a stable network while the video is submitted.
- Confirm that the intended frame is selected.
- Allow additional processing time for larger files.
- If a video fails, test with a shorter standard clip to identify whether the problem is file-specific.
Sending to Multiple Frames
If more than one frame is connected to your account, verify the selected recipient before sending. Frame names can help distinguish a living-room frame from a frame belonging to another family member.
Content, connected users, storage, and display settings are managed separately for each frame. Sending a photo to one frame does not automatically mean it has been delivered to every frame associated with the account.
Understanding History, Resend, Withdraw, and Delete
The History area can help you review previous sending activity and transfer status. Depending on the current app version, it may provide options such as resend, withdraw, or delete a history record.
These actions should not be assumed to mean the same thing:
- Delete history: may remove a record from the phone-side history without removing a delivered file from the frame.
- Withdraw: may attempt to remove or cancel supported content when that option is available.
- Remove on the frame: uses the gallery or content-management controls available on the physical frame.
Check the wording shown by the current app before confirming any removal action. If a photo must be removed from a frame, verify the result on the frame itself.
Photo Permissions on iPhone and Android
The app needs access to content you choose to send. Phone operating systems may allow access to all photos or only selected photos.
- Grant only the level of access needed for your intended use.
- If an album or photo is missing in the app, review the phone’s Uhale photo-permission setting.
- If you previously allowed selected-photo access, add more photos through the phone’s privacy settings when needed.
- Permission labels and menu locations vary between iOS and Android versions.
Changing phone permissions does not automatically change content already delivered to a frame.
If the Uhale App Cannot Connect to the Frame
Work through these checks in order:
- Confirm that the frame is connected to Wi-Fi and shows an online status.
- Confirm that the phone can access the internet.
- Use the latest pairing information displayed on the frame.
- Close and reopen the Uhale app.
- Restart the frame using its normal power controls.
- Install the newest Uhale version offered by the official app store.
- Move the frame closer to the router during setup.
- Test with another trusted network if the problem continues.
For a more complete diagnostic process, use the Uhale Photo Frame Troubleshooting Guide.
If Photos or Videos Do Not Appear
- Check that the content was sent to the correct frame.
- Confirm that the transfer was submitted successfully in the app.
- Make sure the frame is online and connected to power.
- Allow time for receiving and processing.
- Review the frame’s available storage.
- Test with one smaller standard photo.
- Check the frame gallery and slideshow settings.
A failed or delayed transfer can be caused by the phone connection, frame connection, unsupported file, limited storage, or a temporary app state. Testing one simple photo can help isolate the cause.
App Updates
Install updates only through the Apple App Store or Google Play. Store listings show the current version offered for your phone and region.
After updating:
- Reopen the app and confirm that your connected frames appear.
- Review any newly requested phone permissions.
- Test one photo transfer before sending a larger group.
- Restart the phone and frame if a temporary connection problem appears.
Account and Everyday Safety
- Use an email address you control and a unique password.
- Do not share account credentials or pairing information publicly.
- Keep the phone operating system and Uhale app up to date.
- Review connected users when access is no longer needed.
- Before selling, returning, gifting, or recycling a frame, remove personal content and connected users using the device’s available options.
See Account & Privacy FAQ and the Uhale Help Center for additional guidance.
